Rahul Sarella, former Partner at Tatva Legal, has now joined Amarchand Mangaldas as Resident Partner at the Hyderabad office. Sarella takes over from Anshuman Jaiswal, who has moved to the firm’s General Corporate Practice at its Mumbai office.
Sarella has worked with Wadia Ghandy & Co for seven years and KSB Partners for over four years. He has more than 17 years of experience in the areas of M&A, Private Equity, Joint Ventures, Capital Markets and General Corporate Advisory.
Sarella is an alumnus of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore. He is a Chevening Scholar and has completed a course in English and European Commercial Laws from the College of Law of England and Wales, UK.
Commenting on the appointment, Managing Partner Cyril Shroff, said, “We welcome Rahul Sarella to our Firm. He brings with him experience that will help us service our south based clients (with a special focus on the Hyderabad market). Equally I am happy to see Anshuman joining our M&A team at Mumbai which will definitely increase our Partner bandwidth here.”
Amarchand had recently promoted 13 of its Principal Associates to partnership in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore offices. This takes the total number of partners to 85.
